The Prayer

The Prayer

So, Celine was everything I had hoped and more. A Celine Dion concert has been on my bucket list for years. My sister, Ashlee and I have been obsessed with her since the Power of Love came out. I believe she’s one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

Did I ever tell you guys Buggy’s Titanic story? I can’t remember. I’m going to re-tell it just in case I haven’t. When Aria was around 8 or 9, Aaron, Buggy, and I decided to have a movie night. Aria hadn’t seen Titanic yet and I thought she was old enough to enjoy and understand it. If you remember from last week, Aria was an old soul. When most kids were watching Barbie she was getting emotional watching Rebecca Katsopolis(Full House) deliver her twins. She was always a step ahead. Anyways, we decided to watch Titanic as a family. She was glued to the TV the whole time. It seemed like she really liked it. But, when the really sad and tragic scenes emerged, she didn’t show any emotion, I was floored. When the movie was over, I asked her,

“What’d ya think?”

Without flinching she said she really liked it and thought it was good, but nothing more. I asked her if she thought it was sad? She said

“Ahhhh, not really, but it was good.”

She then told me she was going to go upstairs and use the bathroom. It’s a 3 hour movie, she didn’t leave once(except when we made popcorn, her favorite). A bathroom break was long over due.

About 10 mins go by and I notice Buggy’s not back. I figured she might be pooping, so I gave her some more time. After about 15 mins with no sign of Bug, I finally went upstairs.

I knock on the door, “Bug is everything ok?

“Yes” (sniff sniff)

“Can I come in buddy?”

She lets out a reluctant “Yea”

I walk in, she see’s me and bursts into tears,

“It’s so sad, mama.”

Aww, sweetheart, I know. It’s ok to be sad. I’m so sorry buddy.

Ughhhh it was so cute, she had such an empathetic heart. What a sweet memory.

Anyways, back to today’s blog.

In August, I wrote about how Alli, Ashlee, my mom and I, spread some of Aria’s ashes in the ocean. I didn’t post any videos or get into too much detail because I wanted it to be a personal and private experience for us. But in order for you guys to understand how special my experience at Celine was, I have backtrack. On that day, in Santa Monica, we all took our turn spreading a small amount of ashes into Malibu as we all took turns videotaping from different phones. After we left, we noticed there was this little fluttering circle turquoise light in different videos from different phones. It couldn’t have been a defect in the phone. There was no logical explanation. So, we all left there believing it was Aria, still do!

On Friday, Celine had just finished singing Beauty and the Beast. A duet she did with Peabo Bryson for the classic Disney movie. She then starts talking about the greatest duet experience of her life, singing with world famous Opera singer Andrea Bocelli. She then said

“I can’t do a duet because, well, he’s not here. I have to do a solo, this is The Prayer”

Do you guys know what it’s called when a female sings a solo in an opera?

An Aria………💜💜💜

Watch the video and see who paid a little visit!! 💜💜💜💜🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
